There is a clunky word that describes this phenomenon: filiopietism, or the reverence of forebears or tradition carried to excess.When we do something don’t accept things at face value ,think simple but think logical.Apple used to fall for ages but never anyone asked why because we take things at face value,and when Newton asked we got Gravitation concept, there are innumerable example in history like this.Below is the example with an experiment that was performed by sociologists.
So the bottom line is that , dont take things at face value ask the question ‘Why you do what you do.Please don’t be a simple copycat machine ‘.
